Chubb Unveils Latest SmartCell Remote Fire Detection Platform
The new ‘smart’ device is a highly innovative, completely wireless fire detection platform, which provides facilities managers with complete control of their fire safety systems’ performance and strategy. The wireless nature of this platform allows a faster, more cost-effective installation involving less disruption, making it a smart investment for smaller commercial sites and properties (SMEs).
Although physically no larger than a traditionally wired smoke detector, the device can incorporate a heat and smoke detector, a sounder and an EN54-23 visual alarm device.
This new control panel has an intuitive and simple to use capability whilst also offering comprehensive configuration options which can be managed both via a laptop - using USB connection - or remotely. The software features are usually those only seen on high end systems.
The expandable system can accommodate up to 32 wireless fire detection or information devices, making it the perfect solution for property managers looking to streamline the maintenance of numerous residences. This platform is suitable for both large and small properties and its wireless nature makes it a simpler, faster and cheaper installation option.
The system’s built-in communications capability offers users the flexibility to identify and remedy potential issues remotely and also syncs with a dedicated free Chubb mobile app. This means it allows users to monitor and assess potential risks 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
This system, Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) ready - offers users the ability to have potential fire alarms remotely monitored by Chubb. This function also has the capacity to detect floods and potential issues with heating/cooling systems, helping busy property managers to manage risk and reduce operating and maintenance costs.
