Manufacturers And Distributors Of Cleaning And Hygiene Products Are Essential Services And So Remain Open

Following discussion, the Government has confirmed those involved in the production and distributors of cleaning and hygiene products are classified as key workers.  Our members, therefore, are classified as essential services and, following Prime Minister Boris Johnson's announcement last night, remain open.

The children of employees directly involved in the production, packaging and distribution of these products can attend school if no other adult members of the household able to provide childcare.

We understand the guidance being given to schools is to ask for an ID badge or pay slip as evidence of key worker status as a formal letter or anything equivalent is too great a demand at this challenging time.

All workers not directly involved in production, packaging and distribution need to work from home.

We will be in touch with more information as soon as possible. In the meantime, if you have questions please contact the CHSA (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).
