Break the Chain of Infection
The coronavirus pandemic has changed our view of cleaning and hygiene. Understanding how to break the chain of infection has never been more important.
Register now for the CHSA's webinar “8 Moments of Targeted Hygiene” at 1pm on Wednesday 22 September to find out how to break the chain of infection.
There is a misconception regular cleaning of all surfaces maintains hygiene and breaks the chain of infection in workplaces and public facilities.
It doesn't.
Infections, including COVID-19, are mostly spread by people interacting - directly, by touch or airborne routes, indirectly via surfaces commonly touched by others, or via infected foods/food surfaces.
Experts from the International Scientific Forum on Home Hygiene (IFH) and CHSA member SC Johnson have identified the 8 key moments of high risk for spreading infection in workplaces and public facilities.
Professor Sally Bloomfield, Chairman and Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of IFH, and John Hines, Director of Global Research, Development & Engineering at SC Johnson, are the webinar speakers. They will provide guidance for contract cleaners and facilities management on how to improve facility hygiene behaviour at the key moments.
The webinar will conclude with a question and answer session.
