It’s been a long wait, but finally UK cleaning and Facilities Management professionals have been able to convene in person at one of the major calendar events of the environmental cleaning industry – the Cleaning Show (2021). It is here that the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners has taken this opportunity to launch the new Chartered Practitioner’s Register to the entire cleaning industry on 3rd November 2021.

The first individuals to achieve chartered status were WCEC members, who tried and tested the application and qualification process earlier in 2021.

Gary Fage, the new Master of the WCEC says: “It’s a proud and hugely significant achievement for us at the WCEC, and for the cleaning industry overall. Finally, we will have a means of demonstrating our professional commitment, skill and expertise as cleaning professionals, and stand as acknowledged peers with other industries in the UK who can do the same.”
