Eric Wright FM Re-Appointed To Key National Public Sector Framework

An engineer checking a pressure reading Eric Wright Facilities Management (EWFM) has been re‑appointed by NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) to its Hard Facilities Management Framework Agreement. Part of the Eric Wright Group which is based at Bamber Bridge in Preston, EWFM was re-awarded its place on the framework having successfully delivered savings for the NHS and public sector bodies over the past four years.

Secured under the previous framework the team will continue to manage six health centres for Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Having secured a place on the new framework EWFM will be able to bid for work not just for the NHS but for all public sector bodies across the UK.

The NHS SBS Framework is designed to respond to the need within the NHS for high-quality, innovative and cost-effective solutions to help NHS trusts manage their estates. It can potentially provide the NHS and public sector bodies with up to 10% savings for estate, facilities and capital development teams that buy services through it. With £800m expected spend via the framework over the next four years, it could equate to public sector savings of up to £80m.

The new framework's scope has broadened to encompass Covid-19 safety provisions and includes a specific emphasis on sustainability and innovation as well as maintaining a safe environment in healthcare settings, from infection control to the upkeep of medical facilities and equipment, which has a direct bearing on patient safety and care.

George Lilley, EWFM managing director, said: “We’re really proud to have secured a place once again on this important framework. A number of our existing clients choose this procurement route, so it was imperative that we retained our position so that we can continue to deliver efficiencies for those clients and maintain those important relationships.”
