Uncertain Supply And Exceptional Demand: Book Now For CHSA Webinar

How do I manage my business with uncertain supply and exceptional demand?

Manufacturers and distributors to share their experiences in CHSA webinar.

Demand is exceptional. Essential products are scarce. Scrabbling to get the sanitisers, wipes and PPE they need, buyers are turning to online profiteers promising the impossible.

The supply chain is also changing, squeezing out the normal distribution network. To protect supply to care homes, product will go into a Ministry of Defence warehouse and be ‘pushed’ out to care homes, hospitals, GP surgeries, etc.

To support members, a panel of distributors and manufacturers will share their experience of responding to the challenges presented by the coronavirus pandemic.

This event follows the successful members' webinar, held at the beginning of June.

The webinar is taking place on Wednesday 8 July at 10am.

Supply-side shortages in biocides and virucides, gloves, disposable polythene aprons and non-woven cleaning wipes continue.

Manufacturers are working hard to obtain new supplies, ramp up production and develop alternatives, but supply will to be challenging for the foreseeable future.

The advice to distributors continues to be:

  • Plan now for shortages of these products; alert your customers.
  • Protect your existing customers first. Meet their needs before taking on board new customers you may struggle to serve.
  • Ensure products are fit-for-purpose.
