HD Sharman Group, the UK’s leading provider and manufacturer of gutter and roof refurbishment systems, has today announced it has acquired ITAC, furthering the company’s strategy of serving the commercial roof repair, refurbishment and maintenance sector with outstanding product systems and services.

ITAC is a manufacturer of bespoke adhesive and coating products based at Radcliffe, North Manchester. ITAC’s products are used for a continually evolving range of applications and industries, including roofing and construction, the food industry, medical industry, and the textile market to name a few.

In 2018, Sharmans, in partnership with ITAC, became the exclusive distributor of the market-leading products for metal roof protection, Delcote and Seamsil. This relationship has gone from strength to strength and has supported Sharman’s growth in sales by more than 25% in 2019.

“We are delighted to be the new home of the Delcote and Seamsil products and look forward to supporting both brands so they continue to provide market-leading performance, meeting the needs of UK commercial properties through strong contractor, building owner and specifier relationships,” says Mark de Rozarieux, Managing Director of Sharmans.

With shared brand values of industry-leading systems Plygene Gutterline, Delcote and Seamsil, all of which have earned reputations for market-leading performance over the past 25 years, the ITAC acquisition provides a natural progression for Sharmans to broaden their performance systems offer across the commercial roof environment.

“Like ITAC, we are proud that our manufacturing is here in the UK and, with investment in site operations, people and technology, we are excited about the opportunity to take ITAC to new levels,” says Mark de Rozarieux.

“We have known the team at Sharmans for some time and I am delighted that ITAC is transferring to a proven and successful company with which we hold strong synergies and share many values. ITAC and Sharmans are similar in that they are both long-established and successful family businesses. The company is in good hands for the future,” says Paul Armitt, (outgoing) Managing Director of ITAC.
