New research by the British Cleaning Council (BCC) has revealed that there are approximately 1.63m workers in the industry, making up around 5% of the UK workforce.

Following discussion, the Government has confirmed those involved in the production and distributors of cleaning and hygiene products are classified as key workers. Our members, therefore, are classified as essential services and, following Prime Minister Boris Johnson's announcement last night, remain open.
