Outstanding Delivery at DHL: Refreshed, Recoated, Revived

Logistics global market leader DHL knows this all too well. So they asked our Cladding Coatings application specialists to deliver an extensive building repair and refurbishment project at their Bardon Hill site in summer 2020.
The unit’s exterior was suffering. There were two key challenges: building size and coating colour. The external façade measured 7000m²: a vast recoating area needing careful treatment. The light-grey façade had accumulated dirt and debris, and faded in sunlight. The DHL logo was also worn, no-longer displaying the instantly-recognisable brand bold yellow.
DHL had some colours in mind. Yet to help make final decisions, Cladding Coatings created a digital mock-up of the building. Using different colours helped DHL visualise the end-result.
Over several weeks, our onsite spraying team recoated all metal cladding external elevations. The finished façade is now a sleek, polished black, with a bold logo. The contrast of the yellow branding and the black cladding helps the DHL name stand-out, with a striking, professional finish to match the company’s strong reputation.
