This year’s Manchester Cleaning Show looks set to be bigger and better than ever, featuring national and international exhibitors and an exciting conference programme of talks by leading industry figures and experts.

Taking place at Event City, Greater Manchester, on 25 to 26 March, it has become the premiere trade show for the cleaning and hygiene sector in the North of England. It should not be missed by anyone working the industry in the region.

Attending the Manchester Cleaning Show will give you the chance to connect with the industry, enjoy lively debate, see demonstrations of the latest products and take advantage of many opportunities for business deals.

You can attend for free. Why not register today? Registrations for this year’s show are already running at record levels.

Innovation will be an important theme of the 2020 show, with exhibitors showcasing the latest products and services for healthcare, education, hospitality, entertainment, manufacturing, government and care home facilities.

The show’s packed conference programme – which is free if you are already attending the show - will discuss topics that have been specially selected to be useful and interesting to cleaning sector professionals.

The themes of the programme were identified by visitors to last year’s The Cleaning Show as being of high interest to people working in the sector.

Sustainability, health and safety and issues relating to cleaning businesses such as cybercrime, hire vs purchase, personnel management, the power of marketing and the benefits of formal training are all strongly represented in the new conference programme.

High-profile industry figures who are speaking include Dominic Ponniah, CEO and co-founder, Cleanology, and Lorcan Mekitarian, General Manager of Berry bpi recycled products and new chairman of the Cleaning and Hygiene Suppliers Association (CHSA).

Neil Nixon, Conference Director, said: “This year’s conference programme is the best we’ve ever offered. It has been redesigned to be as relevant, interesting and enlightening as possible for anyone working in the cleaning industry.”

Mr Mekitarian said: “I was delighted to be asked to speak on such an important topic as single use plastics.

“My message is simple - the whole supply chain will have to change their mind-set to think at the design stage about end of life for their products, its collection, recycling and use back into other products. “

There’s a real mix of exhibitors, from the household names that everyone in the cleaning sector recognises, to smaller but still well-known businesses and a fair mix of newer firms.

To name just a few, exhibitors include:

  • The Floorbrite Group - an award-winning firm which is one of the UK’s largest cleaning and facilities management companies.
  • Toucan Eco - one of the pioneers of sustainable cleaning
  • The Squeegee app - a market leading scheduling solution for companies in the field service industry
  • OspreyDeepclean - makers of the GB1 battery powered unit for gum removal and the award-winning SteamCare machines
  • Motorscrubber – which will be showing its existing range as well as the new generation 3 machines alongside its new DMT system
  • Makita – who will be bringing exciting new products including the Back Pack Vacuum Cleaner, Robotic Vacuum Cleaner and Hand held Cleaners
  • Spinaclean: Home of skyVac™ - with its innovative range of gutter, window and paving cleaning equipment

Wherever you look, when you visit the Manchester Cleaning Show, you will see fascinating products, new ideas and technologies on display that are a fantastic showcase for the cleaning and hygiene industry.

The Manchester Cleaning Show, which is organised by the British Cleaning Council (BCC) and Quartz Business Media, offers exhibitors the chance to reach over 2,000 people in the sector, including key purchasers and distributors of cleaning equipment and services and facilities managers from a wide range of vertical markets.

Around 85 percent of exhibition space has been booked, meaning there are only a few stands left. Anyone wishing to book is being advised to do so as soon as poss.

Paul Thrupp, of the BCC, said: ”We’re delighted to see so many people signing up for the show and, also, with the rate that exhibition space is being snapped up.

“We strongly encourage anyone who works in the cleaning industry in the region to register for free now, and for anyone interested in reaching this audience, to book exhibition space before it is all gone.”

It is hard to believe this is only the third edition of the Manchester Cleaning Show. The first-ever show was in 2016 and it was repeated in 2018. Over that time, it has consistently exceeded expectations in terms of visitor numbers and the demand for exhibition space, coupled with excellent feedback from delegates.

The Manchester Cleaning Show takes place on 25 to 26 March at Event City, Greater Manchester, and is free.
