Elsewhere, with a growing pressure to use fewer resources and minimise emissions and waste, sustainability is one of the hot topics set to be explored at the show. Nina Wyers, Marketing and Brand Director, The Floorbrite Group (06th April, 12:30) will explore the innovations and solutions that Floorbrite have introduced, ensuring effective change can be created by cleaning and recycling creatively. Additionally, James Lee, Council Member, Cleaning & Hygiene Suppliers Association (06th April, 14:30), will offer an engaging presentation on ‘A Roadmap Towards Sustainability’ where he will lay out the CHSA’s five-pillar initiative to help its members understand the standards on quality, ethics and sustainability facing the industry.

A The topic of robots and cobots in the cleaning industry will also return as Killis - the show’s official Innovation partner – open the second day with a session on Cobotics and how they can enhance current cleaning practices (07th April, 10:30).

Other highlights of the conference programme will see Fiona Bowman, Employers Initiative on Domestic Abuse (EIDA) (07th April, 10:00) address the issue of domestic abuse in the workplace through a personal, insightful session. Closing both days of the show, Killis will invite attendees to witness its king-sized autonomous cleaning robot, Rex and LeoBots in action, with the chance to discover the benefits and advantages of automation through Q&A sessions with the team.

Jim Melvin, Chairman, British Cleaning Council commented: “Over the past two years, cleaning professionals from across the sector have demonstrated great bravery, determination, and skill. Let’s be very clear, this was achieved whilst working on the frontline in the fight against the pandemic. With this growing and much-deserved recognition, we’re excited to return to Manchester for The Cleaning Show 2022 to discuss the critical role of the cleaning and hygiene sector post-pandemic, what the next chapter holds for the industry and to celebrate our superb cleaning teams.”

Stuart Dacre, Event Director, The Cleaning Show, added: “After three years of no Manchester event, we’re excited to return and reconnect with the industry at an all-new venue as we move to the Manchester Central Convention Complex. Last year’s event at the ExCeL, London, provided us with a clear message: there is an overwhelming appetite for in-person networking and collaboration among industry professionals. We are counting down the days, looking forward to a triumphant return to the Capital of the North and excited to welcome the industry as they join us.”
