ABM Promotes Healthier Indoor Air Quality With The Launch Of EnhancedFacility™ In The UK

EnhancedClean™ and EnhancedFacility™ Leading facilities solutions provider ABM has launched a comprehensive programme of services designed to help businesses improve indoor air quality as the UK continues to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic with a focus on long term infection control.

EnhancedFacility™ launches at a time when the UK is seeing the reoccupation of buildings increase just as colder months approach; making the circulation of fresh air more challenging, and the presence of pathogens more likely.

Providing solutions which consider variables such as square footage, occupancy levels, movement of occupants and existing heating, ventilation and cooling (HVAC) units, EnhancedFacility™ only recommends technology and equipment which has been vetted by ABM’s Expert Advisory Council.

ABM established its Expert Advisory Council in partnership with leading infectious disease experts and industrial hygienists at the height of the COVID-19 crisis. The council consists of experts with backgrounds in industrial hygiene, air testing and balancing, building commissioning and engineering. The council advises regularly and guides the development of ABM’s programmes, while vetting new and emerging products.

The EnhancedFacility™ programme compliments ABM’s EnhancedClean™ offer; a three-step certified disinfection process. Working together to eliminate potential risks of viral transmission on surfaces and in the air, the two programmes provide a holistic approach to keeping buildings and occupants protected against threats such as COVID-19 variants and other airborne pathogens such as influenza.

“We are committed to delivering facility resilience for our clients and with winter around the corner, keeping clean air circulating while maintaining the comfort of occupants is crucial in our ongoing fight with the COVID-19 virus,” said John McPherson, Managing Director, ABM.

“Incorporating air-quality protections such as ventilation, filtration, and disinfection supports the health, viability, and value of facilities over the long term. This alongside an increased focus on surface disinfection will set the new standard for the future, which we believe will continually evolve as science and technology improves.”

ABM remains vigilant in monitoring the most current safety, infection control and cleaning protocols recommended by global experts, including the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Public Health England and others.
