First Response Group Named Security Guarding Company Of The Year At The 2022 Security & Fire Excellence Awards

2022 Security & Fire Excellence Awards First Response Group (FRG) has won the acclaimed Security Guarding Company of the Year Over £30M Turnover award at the 2022 Security & Fire Excellence Awards.

Now in its 23rd year, the prestigious Security & Fire Excellence Awards continue to highlight the very best people, projects and processes the security and fire sectors have to offer.

The Leeds headquartered security, risk and facilities management specialist firm who, as an ACS Pacesetter, is ranked in the top 15% of firms accredited by the Security Industry Association’s ‘Approved Contractor Scheme’, was a finalist in three Security & Fire Excellence Awards’ categories this year.

The coveted Security Guarding Company of the Year Over £30M Turnover award recognises consistent and exemplary service in the security guarding profession. FRG was named winner by demonstrating its commitment to deliver the best service and innovation to customers by cultivating a culture of employee inclusion and happiness.

FRG CEO, Simon Alderson, commented: “This prestigious award win coupled with the extraordinary growth we have seen over the past few years is a reflection of our commitment to professionalism, excellence, innovation and employee engagement. There is now no doubt FRG is the new star of the security industry.

“Our work with The Living Wage Foundation and recently Inclusive Employers has been pivotal in developing our company values and mission, and our team work collaboratively to deliver industry leading solutions that exceed our clients’ expectations. This accolade is testament to every member of Team FRG.”

This latest win comes just weeks after FRG was named the first security company in the UK to receive Inclusive Employers Standard accreditation for its dedication to employee diversity and inclusivity, and in 2021 FRG was crowned Living Wage Foundation Recognised Service Provider Champions at the Living Wage Foundation Champion Awards for its ongoing commitment to improving rates of pay across the security and service industries.

The 2022 Security and Fire Excellence awards, supported by IFSEC & FIREX, were presented at a black tie gala dinner at the London Hilton on Park Lane. Each award is judged by an independent panel of industry experts from all areas of security and fire, the world of academia and the policing sector.
