Global FM Awards Of Excellence:
IWFM Impact Award Winners Shine In Sustainability

Winners for the Global FM Awards Two winners from the IWFM Impact Awards 2022 have won yet again – this time at the Global FM Awards of Excellence 2023!

Global FM, which judged nominated entries from its members, awarded Gold to National Library of Scotland for its ‘Enhancing environmental control and energy reduction management in the heritage sector’ project, while 14forty’s ‘Putting wellbeing at its heart’ project was Highly Commended.

Last October the National Library of Scotland took home top prize in the Technology category at the IWFM Impact Awards 2022 for its Library Environmental Energy Platform (LEEP) to reduce their carbon footprint, refurbish the library’s building services systems, and enhance the control and monitoring of collections environments.

At the same Awards, 14forty won in the Wellbeing category for their progressive approach to employee catering. They partnered with the University of Cambridge to produce PACE labelling, which explains to 14forty’s employees how many steps would need to be taken to use up the calories in each dish. With sustainability also high on the agenda, a further research project with the University of Oxford saw 14forty develop Eco Labelling, a method of rating dishes from A to E depending on how good they are for the environment.

At the same Awards, 14forty won in the Wellbeing category for their progressive approach to employee catering.

The Global FM (GFM) Awards of Excellence were created to enable GFM Members to showcase and communicate achievements of their FM Members to an international audience. They are only open to GFM Members and must be nominated by the Member Association.
