Active Workplace Group Welcomes New Director Ben Martin

Ben Martin, New Director at Active Workplace Group In a move that might surprise some in the industry, Director Ben Martin has joined the board of Active to play a hands‑on role in taking the business to the next level. With over 25 years’ experience in the office design and build industry, Ben is well‑known for his ability to win big business and maximise potential for the companies he works for and now he plans to help Active do the same.

“I wasn’t really looking for a career move but when I met owners Colin and Adrian by chance and got chatting; their story was completely compelling.” states Ben, “Active has been running for 25 years this year, and they have big name customers that bely their small size. The longevity of the business and the relationships that they have with their clients is something that truly inspired me.”

Ben began his career in residential and commercial property before transitioning into development. Ben also founded his own fit out company before joining one of the UK’s largest design and build operations. Ben will initially be focused on growing the design & build side of Active but is also very keen to promote and maximise the unique space Active occupies by also offering move and furniture services and facilities management.

Moving forward Active plans to keep the same family feel and integrity that has allowed them to make 25 years delivering the full spectrum of workplace services, whilst staying ahead of the Sustainability agenda that they have always been proactive about, long before it was so compelling.
